Spade and Paladin are back for another adventure at a science fiction convention. This time, they run into a dangerous situation that no convention wants, and they need to solve it on the fly. A new Spade/Paladin story will appear in Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine in the Jan/Feb 2012 issue. “Pandora’s Box” will show both Spade and Paladin in a new light as they deal with a dangerous situation at a science fiction convention.

Spade had a life before Paladin, and that life turned up in this short story from the mid-1990s. It’s now newly available in e-book format. The Spade/Paladin stories will come out in e-book format, with “The Case of the Vanishing Boy,” due sometime this fall.

When a dead body turns up at Dinocon, Secret Master of Fandom and Private Detective Spade knows just who might be behind it all: Lucinda Danielle Stanhope who calls herself the Martha Stewart of Science Fiction. Now he just has to prove it. “Stomping Mad” marks the first appearance of Spade, who along with his sidekick Paladin, is one of Rusch’s most popular characters.
